George Nomikos is an experienced Research & Systems Engineer in Telecommunications & Networks Lab, FORTH since 2014.
His research activity has focused on Internet topology in terms of routing, network monitoring and security objectives. He has been involved as a research and software engineer in several research projects in the fields of (1) orchestrating and deploying advanced networking measurements in the AS-, IXP- and Facility-level, (2) network performance evaluation with respect to network resilience, path latency and redundancy principles and big data and (3) statistical analysis.
He is currently working as an Internet Μeasurement specialist responsible for designing and building networking systems to address emerging challenges in inter-domain routing, security and performance related areas.
